The first social decentralised Metaverse is owned by its users. Decentraland introduced decentralisation of ownership of Land within its platform, an early adopter of Web 3.0 and open-source ideology. Users can purchase Land and NFTs with their own crypto token MANA that uses the Ethereum Blockchain. Decentraland has its own marketplace where digital assets can be traded. Home to a number of Brands and provides events and shows. Hosted this year’s Metaverse Fashion Week. Although designed in 3D Virtual Reality there are currently no headsets to view Decentraland in VR.
